- A checkout in a 172 or 182 by one of our instructors
- Rental of fuel-injected 172's requires prior experience with, or a briefing from one of
our instructors on, hot and cold starting of fuel-injected Lycoming engines
(Checkout in 182, Hawk XP, or 172RG covers 172 N & P models)

Cessna 172RG:
|
- Private Pilot ASEL, with Complex airplane authorization per 14 CFR 61.31
- Pilot In Command of 150 hours or more logged
- 25 hours logged in an airplane with retractable gear or 10 hours dual & 15 takeoffs & landings
with one of our CFI's(s) in a C-172RG
|
|
|
Cessna 182P or Hawk XP:
|
- Private Pilot ASEL, with High-Performance airplane authorization per 14 CFR 61.31
- Pilot In Command of 100 hours or more logged
- Rental of Hawk XP requires prior experience with, or a briefing from one of our CFI's on: use of the XP's fuel system including emergencies and hot & cold starting

Piper PA-28-161
Or PA-28-181:
|
- Private Pilot ASEL, or Student w/ medical & solo endorsement(s) from our instructor
- A checkout in a PA-28-181 or PA-28R-200 by one of our instructors
(Note: a checkout in a PA-28-161 will authorize PA-28-161, but not higher-power models)

|
PA-28R-200:
|
- Private Pilot ASEL, with Complex airplane authorization per 14 CFR 61.31
(Note: our insurance requires complex authorization to have been earned in a land plane)
- Pilot In Command of 150 hours or more logged
- A checkout in our PA-28R-200 by one of our instructors
- 25 hours logged in an airplane with retractable gear or 10 hours dual & 15 takeoffs
and landings with our instructor(s) in a PA-28R

MULTI-ENGINE AIRCRAFT
|
|
|
Beech Baron B55:
|
- Private Pilot or higher with AMEL & Instrument ratings (no "center line thrust" limitation)
- High Performance and Complex airplane authorizations per 14 CFR 61.31
And one of the following items:
- 350 total hours logged including 100 hours multi-engine airplane & 25 hours in type
(Note: our insurance can review individual cases)
- 25 hours dual including 25 takeoffs and landings with one of our CFI's(s) in our B55
- Passed practical test for our Multi-Engine Rating or Multi-Engine Instructor program with at least
20 hours dual with our CFI's in our B55
